Default 2002 Audi A4 Radio Reception Problems

I recently purchased my first Audi - 2002 A4 (B6) 3.0L V6. I luv the car especially the 6 speed, very smooth and decent acceleration. I do have one problem and that is the radio reception is not good. I have come to notice that there is no visible antenna for the car hence my reception issues.

Has anyone come across a solution to this problem, is it possible to get it fixed without costing an arm & a leg. I recently purchased a spare key, as mine only came with one, and that cost me $430 with the valet and programming charge.

Also, I am thinking of getting new tires. Wondering ifI should a set of summer performance & winter tires or just stick with all season performance, I live downtown Toronto so I don't commute to work so spending upwards of $3K on winter & summer tires doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense.

Can anyone help.

Thanks

i have the same car, teh antenna is in the back window the first 2 lines at the top, thats where they are, if you have certain tints you can get interference, i take it you didnt buy the car from the dealership or any decent used car dealer, thats you u spent 450 buckson what should have been 200, ebay for the keysmando it up. get a decent set of winter for now, and try to get wheels and summer tire package online you gonna spend about 2k from that.

Yeah I bought the car from a dealer in Kitchener Ontario, I live in Toronto.

I don't have tints on the back window or any for that matter. ShouldI take it to and Audio instillation specialist and have him add a wire antenna, it should be pretty easy to do I would think.

Thumbs up Junk Yard Fix

My problem was that FM was fine but no AM reception. I got an amplifier from a 2002 A4 at Crazy Ray's junkyard outside Baltimore for $14, matching on the part number.

Now I have AM reception.

Tip: I tried to test it by hooking up the wires and it did not work. You have to snap the amplifier into the bracket so it makes contact with the connectors on the rear window.

- Now I can hear road condition radio which is mostly AM.
