He lives near me , and called my car crappy. I know its no racer but... I plan on putting a chip in it.


My car = 1999 A4 1.8TQM With APR 2.5" CAT-Back Exhaust.

How much mods till I meet/beat him?

you've already got a good exhaust, the chip will transform your car completely....that link isn't loading right on my comp, so i don't know what that guy has, but with a chip, dv (no power increase but you have to do it with your chip), apr exhaust...i would mod your airbox (remove some restrictive pieces) to complete the high flow system you've started, that will make for a pretty quick k03

EDIT: it doesn't look like he's got any major mods, most of the stuff he has isn't going to give him any gains at all....i don't know much about mazdas though, i can't tell you if you'll beat him with the mods youre doing

 

his dyno shows about 214hp 213 torqe on 9psi... I think u cannot beat him without changing the turbo...

 

ouch, that's more than i was expecting.....you probably will have to go k04 to beat him, those cars are pretty light

 

I figured, im gonna start with chip/dv combo.. and the DIY airbox mod..

Then down the line upgrade my GIAC chip to the K04 program with the K04 turbo....

I dont know what HP/TQ i will be putting out then...

His PSI is spiking all over the place too.. since he got his Greddy EBC (Electronic Boost Controller) maybe I will kick him when hes down!!
