Default 2003 A4 1.8T Quattro AC Condensor

Recently found out my 03 A4 1.8T Quattro's AC doesn't get cold air from all vents. Since the car is 5,000 miles shy of being out of warranty, I've took the car to the dealership. The dealership did a dye test and found a small leak in the AC condensor. The dealership refused to replace the AC condensor because they said it's most likely caused by rocks or foreign object from the road. The dealership showed me where the leak on the condensor is located & pointed out the dinks I have on the condensor but all of them are no where near the place of leakage? Has anyone experience similar problem with the condensor? The dealership wants $945 for the replacement of the condensor. I'm thinking about taking the car to another dealership. Any thoughts?

Call Audi of America and speak to a field rep regarding this if another dealership doesn't work out for you.
Be polite and courteous. Smile and yet, be firm in your conviction that you should have this fixed under warranty.
