My sensor is on saying i have a burned out tail light. I have found a few posts on how to replce it. Thanks.
My quesitons is;
1. What is the part # for a replcement bulb? Can i find one at Checker/NAPA or do i need to pick one up from the dealer.
2. Will the sensor light go off once i install the new buld or do i need to get the error reset.
3. Are the brake light and tail light in the same bulb or are the seperate.

open the trunk lid there are two plastic screws on the carpet on which ever side the bulb is you need to replacee.
after takin the plastic screws off pull the carpet back
There should be a black plastic piece that is coving the bulbs
you can just snap the off and pull it away and there will be either 3 or 4 bulbs cant remember
then just take out the bulb that you need to replace.
and put a new bulb in a reassemble everything
The brake bulb and the running tail light bulb are not the same bulb they are two serpeate bulbs.
You can get the bulb at a local pep boys or napa or whatever is near you. let me know if you need any other help

I would go to the dealer, at least for your first round of bulbs, and buy two brake lights and to running lights, (brake lights have 2 filaments): that way, you'll have a couple spare bulbs for future outages.
You can get the bulbs almost anywhere, but I challenge you to compare OE replacements with anything you can find at AutoZone, Kroger's, etc. Not the same quality. I care. Most probably don't.

but if you want to do it yourself just uncrew the screw thats in the trunk on the side of the tail light. that will pop out the whole tail light assembly (on the outside) and you can do the job in like 2 min.
for the b5's its on the inside that there are 2 screw type of things. but you have a b6 and the job is done on the outside.
