Hi all,

Is the wood grain in a 2004 3.0 interior real wood? And if so, what kind of wood?

Thanks!

^^^hahaha, I don't think its real thing. The only cars with real wood grain are super luxury cars like Maybachs and bentleys.

It is made from real wood but make from a thin veneer and clearcoated.

That is why the trim pieces are suspect to cracking due to low temperatures.

I joined up a little while ago and posted in the n00b forum and Grouse found me as well.

I didn't even know this place existed until I was doing some research and it popped up as a hit.

Hope it's a nice place to be and maybe I could help around here as well.

I thought it might be some real wood underneath some sort of coating/covering.

But I guess it's not...

No real wood in cars.

Didn't I just say a few posts up that it was made with real wood?

OK... it's not made with a solid piece of wood and only the most luxurious of cars would get that treatment, but out trim is constructed with real wood.
