2004 3.0L A4...Turbo??
So, I bought a 2004 3.0L 6-speed about six months ago, and although faster than the Volvo I had, I'm already bored with its acceleration. I haven't dug around under the hood yet (no garage at the time, but will be moving in about a month)so Isearched online fora turbo that would "fit". I can't seem to find anything about putting a turbo on a 3.0 ANYWHERE. Does anyone know if thats even possible? I'm thinking since they crammed the 3.0 in the little A4 there literally might not be any room... Any insight?
I know I can get my chip reprogrammed for +~15 hp, and a new exhaust system might get me 8 more...any other suggestions?

yeah if your looking to get alot of hp your much better off just going supercharger with the 3.0l. you'll get a good 50% increas in hp. somone on here is running it, cant rember the name. but he had it in a tip tranny and fucked it up.

how much does 15hp make a difference on the 3.0...will it be noticeable?

Does anybody know someone running a supercharger with a 6-speed? Any speculation on how well the stock setup would hold up?
if you have the 6sp tranny you'll be fine with a s/c that will hold plenty of hp, just get and exhaust while your at it. custom bend/weld job would be the cheapest and still sound good. a s/c kit for your cars about 4-5grand, you can do it cheaper if you found the parts individually but thats up to you and how much money you have and how much time you have.
PES tuning makes a supercharger kit, as does MTM. STS makes a rear mount turbo setup. Now, I know it isn't the common opinion here, but I really dislike turbos. If I want FI, it better be positive displacement FI, I.E. twin screw supercharger. I want boost when I mash the gas, not whenever a turbo gets around to spooling up. Your stock gearbox would hold up fine, but you might be in the market for a clutch a few thousand miles after the install.

i disagree, i love turbos and most everything about them, and yes that does include spool up time. superchargers sound like bad power steering pumps.
