106deg, that is fine, you will have heat soak before you even turn the car on. [:'(]

Now the downside is you need to redyno it the day you get the new flash, if it is not 106 out. I bet if you were to dyno it with it being 80deg out, you would have picked up another 5-10%.

I know a lot of people have been waiting for some one to take the plunge on the Inmotion chip, make sure you get A/F & the boost logged on the Dyno.

 

Also just remember to that it will take 2 or so tanks for gas before your ECU adapts to the new chip. So right away your numbers are not going to be accurate. Just a thought.

Also, i do plan on running at least one full tank through the car before i go get final dyno done next week, and as far as the temp goes, ill make sure its at least that temperature, which the weather looks like it will be the same next week.

So far the guys at InMotion have been really helpful, i have called 3 times and emailed numerous times and they have always pickup up and emailed back very promptly.

 

A 25% power loss from flywheel to pavement is normal for most cars. So the 125-130hp from the 180 your engine is rated at is normal, especially considering the temperature outside. Now since you're front wheel and not all wheel drive you should get a little more power to the wheels (80% or so) you can let the rest go to the heat that day.

 

I dont think were anywhere near under 100 for the next couple a weeks, so i should be good to go on that. Id love it if i woke up and it were anywere near 80 out in phoenix.

 

its more like 12% for 2wd cars and 20% for awd cars for powertrain loss. He should be just under 160whp unless its a really tough dyno or the heat is way to high

 

If you guys want to read about the specific dyno i used the info is herehttp://www.dynocomp.com/tuner.php . Either way whether its heat or the dyno reading low, the gains will still be the same, since i will be using the same dyno same temp when i go back next week.

 

I received my ECU back today from InMotion Tuning. I put it in, turned the ignition and let it adjust for 5min, then started it and it fired right up, no codes or lights or anything. I let it idle for about 10-15min while i put the engine bay back together and it idled fine the whole time. Then i took it out for a test spin and i could tell a significant difference right away. It pulls hard throughout the whole powerband right up till redline, the turbo sounds louder and the power is definitely there.

I am going to run a tank or two through the system to let the whole engine and ECU sink up, then switch out the diverter valve with a Forge unit and then i will get it in to the dyno shop later next week for the final numbers.

As far as the customer service has gone with InMotion, they have been very helpful and attentive to all my questions. As far as the seat of the pants feel of this chip i say it is definitely on par if not better than the REVO chip i had. I had the 5 hour tester a couple weeks back and this i feel pulls more and seems the power comes on smoother.

I should have the dyno results back later next week.
