2005.5 self locking doors
If i shut the engine, leave the keys in the ignition and get out of the car, the doors may lock by themselves. This has happened 2 times already in 5000 miles. Has any one else found this problem. I think it is a faulty chip.
The dealer says "don't leave the keys in the ignition" right it is my problem, not there's.

You leave the keys in the ignition because you do. There does not have to be a reason. you are going to the mailbox! whatever!
That is not the point. Why is the German technology allowing this to happen!

If I lock my car and while the doors are closed, and then just leave it (dont open the doors), it will relock after 2 or 3 minutes. But I dont leave my keys in the car. Learned that lesson already.[:@]
My 2005 locks itself after I turn off the car for X minutes and don't lock it, I believe this is an automatic feature. In CA, as well as other states, it is illegal to leave your keys in the ignition unattended. Therefore, Audi rightly believes that no reasonable person would leave the car off with the keys in the ignition and walk away. Unfortunately this feature is working exactly as designed. Stop leaving your keys in the car.
Alternatively, put your driver's window down when you get out.

i hate niggly problems like that but i haven't left my keys in the ignition since my (ahem...) civic ended up sitting on a garage forecourt at 2am with the engine running, lights on windows shut and no spare key. two hours and one hammer later.............
