I need some help guys. My 2006 A4 2.0T sounds a bit like a diesel when idling. Any solutions? It runs like a dream other than this annoying problem.

 

No CEL?

 

I have no CEL. It runs great. Its as smooth as anything when over 1599 revs.

Well that's strang because if it were something simple like MAF or Coils, there would be CEL throwing code. Checked the intake hoses? I'm not sure where it is on a B7 but on my B6 it's on the right side of the engine. Towards the front..on top

Yea, mine acually came off of the piping just the other day..I pulled out onto a road and my car just died right in the middle of the road, I was like, oh SH** Ha! That's the only reason I know where it is..
