2006 A4 opinions...
Hi all. I am looking into buying a brand new 2006 A4. I don't know much about cars or chips, but am interested in getting some feedback on what the best model I should get. 2.0 vs. 3.2? Quattro vs. no quattro? Unfortunately, my gf doesn't drive stick, so I have to buy an automatic. Tiptronic vs. Multitronic? I don't plan on doing a lot of modifications, but am planning on putting some sort of chip (recommendations?) to get more HP out of the engine. What are the pros and cons?
Any recommendations are appreciated! Thanks!

2.0t manual... Teach her stick you will regret having a tiptronic as time comes with the car. Far as the 2006 model goes there too new to even say if there reliable or problematic. But from what ive read and heard from other owners there worth the buy.
2006 2.0t A4 was buzzy, didnt idle smoothly (car kinda shakes). I totally didnt like the drive (not nearly enough hp without mods handling is weak. The 3.2 Quattro on the other hand, was Nirvana. It sounded thoaty like a man's car and it pulls so very hard with the quattro never letting one wheel slip. I bought a 06 brilliant red 3.2 Quattro Sport Model with most all of the options (sunshades, adaptive headlights, xenon, sport lowered suspension by Eibach, ect...) except nav b/c my last car was an 02 Acura TL-type S with nav, and Audi's nav at the present moment is not better than Acuras (no touch screen ect...) at least until the Q7 debuts the next gen nav which I havent seen or used. This 3.2 is sorta like my swiss army knife car, it can do anything!!! I have floored the car going up steep rainy wet hills always against my better judgement and the car never misses a beat, never slips, just pulls. It seems physically impossible that a car could climb so fast and be so nimble in the wet. I know that nothing could catch or keep up with this car save a Porsche turbo all wheel drive or maybe an Subaru Sti. For a family man and professional like me ( I need a sedan), no other car in my buying decision came close. I also purchased essential accesories (bike racks, snowboard attachment, audi sport premium rubber mats and premium trunk mat, suit jacket hanger, audi sport licence plate frame and sport valve stem covers) and got a deep discounts by being nice to the salesperson. I also had my windows tinted, also an absolute requirement (for aesthetics and heat and light reduction) anywhere you live. I guess you can tell I am very happy. Best car I have ever had. But I would not get the 2.0t it is not the same car as the 3.2 in anyway except that they look almost the same.
how much are you planning to spend? i mean they(b7 4 cyc to b7 6 cyc 4wd) range from MSRP. 30grand up to 40+grand. i personally own a 4 cyc 2wd 7 speed auto. the CVT tranny is so smooth you don't feel it shifting because is continously varible, shift it down to Sports mode and it can shift as fast as a stick.(but of coz, no more heel-toe cornering for you).
but if i had more money i would step up and went the 6 cyc fully loaded. so its really up to ur budget.
