I missed you guys by 5 seconds. On my way up the parking structure on the 3rd floor, I saw a black A3 on the other side heading down and thought nothing of it. As I got to the 4th floor, drove around, I only saw 1 A4. I drove up to it and it was Vincent (vwong) and his wife. He told me that you guys just bearly left to do some driving. I then drove down the parking structure hoping I'd catch up but damn, you guys must've blasted out of the Irvine Spectrum. I got on the 5 south and exited El Toro and started driving northbound, but I couldn't really remember where Santiago Canyon was so I turned around and went home....the day I show up late and you guys took off early..bah..maybe I'll stick to be one of the guys to show up first. That bottle could've been mine, you're lucky I wasn't there Cheng j/k.....I'll see you guys at the next one

Jeff, did you get to install your hid fogs?

Oh, sorry to hear about your ticket Jason, that really sucks

#1 - Thanks to Jeff for the designated Card club...

#2 - Congrads to Cheng for winning the tourney

#3 - Rhynolite - I hope ur sister gets better soon.. hopefully next time u can hang out longer...

#4 - you guys are the best for even thinking about donating that $$ to me for the ticket...
not that I wouldve taken it... but its a good feeling that Im hangin' out w/ a classy group of Ppl..

[&o] yes i3uddha got a ticket...

how can this be u ask? he's always last, always getting lost etc. etc.
well, this time I was determined to not just cruise over to the rendevouz...
and after being passed by a few audis on the 5, (through some very fancy lane changes)

the first opportunity I had i downshifted & gunned it on an open stretch...
heres what i saw :

then the conversation went a lil like this:

CHP: "Well, obviously i dont have to tell u why i pulled u over, u were driving waaay too fast.
licence registration etc. etc. "

i3uddha: "u see officer, Im not from around here [&o] I'm following my car club,
& I didnt want to get left behind bec.
I wasnt sure exactly were the meeting point was
(doh! hide garmin gps[:'(]).
I wasnt paying attentionat all too how fast I was going...I really had no idea"

CHP: well, I dropped ur speed down on this. (hands over ticket) [:@]
I was going well over a hundred just to catch up to you from the carpool lane...
I marked u at 103 mph even though u were well beyond that

i3uddha: u realise i didnt have to pull over... I coulda just kept my turbos spooling
& left u behind...

no but seriously... he was pretty cool.. (even commented that I had a nice car..
& I knew how to drive it, even at that speed..) its just the "old ladies"
you scare the crap out of etc. etc. lecture...

anywhooo. I'll be asking for extensions till i figure the best way out of this.
I've got no prior speeding tickets etc. etc...

lesson learned. [&o]

at least I had a blast on the canyon run & at the poker game...
now.. to break the news to wifey about the ticket [:@] [:'(]

Hey Guys

great day today, great meet, great people, scarry run on the 5 towards el toro....... next time....... pls let me know where's we're going before you guys zoom out of the parking structure so i don't have to bust 120 on the hwy trying to catch up with you guys. canyon run was awesome, driving through a long cave of trees, just beautiful. i love the smell of my heated brake pads too. it was fun trying to race Jeff....... Hmmmmmm 100oct + downpipe........ i'm no match with my 91 oct and slippy tires. it was fun running solo with Brian trying to catch up with you guys to the ofc, and it was fun trying to tail the vette on the way there. Thanks Jeff for letting us you your ofc for a hang out spot, you're greatly appreciated. Sorry again Jason re: the ticket, i feel you........ but at least you have to chance to get out of it, i didn't.

Congrats Cheng............ now use that $ to get your car detailed. hee hee.

I propose that the next time we run a canyon that we caravan at the speed limit to the canyon first, instead of going wreckless driving.

sorry guys that i had to bail out on you guys early, i had things to take care of, sorry didn't get to say bye to Jeff, Will and Brian.

on the way home, i told myself i was gonna keep at 80 driving home, but by the time i got on the fwy, i only had 40 mins to get to my destination, so knowing that one of out members got a ticket today, i gunned it anyways, but trying to keep it under 100, i was cruising at 95. on the way home, i saw a Honda Accord V6 on my tail, well, i think they were just playing follow the leader, seemed like they were in a rush too, so i kept constant at 95, weeving left and right, didn't cut them off, they didn't cut me off, i signalled at all times passing cars and changling lanes and so did they, then at one time, they pulled up next to me, it was a girl driving it, she was looking at me as if she was pissed off, then she gunned it to 130, didn't know Accords can go that fast, so i gunned it also, then she got stuck behind a wall of traffic, good thing for me, i just took the emergency lane and passed her. she then disappeared after i passed. i KNOW i didn't do anything wrong to **** her off, she was cute......... maybe she was checking me out........... ok, i know, that's impossible

ok, enough of my stories............. it was a fun day......... so how bout the next gtg......... and since it's gonna be thanksgiving weekend.......... if anyone is up for it, maybe we'll do a picnic or something, maybe a potluck at a park/beach or something to celebrate the holiday.
