So did the bumper had to come off or did shove your hand through the front grill and maneuver your hand like plastic man?

Cheng gave it a shot, but I couldn't see if he was able to reach all the way back in there though.
My guess is, if you have someone that has really thin arms and hands, they should be able to just reach in, and get their hands on it.
BUT......I'd be willing to bet $1,000 that they can't get the clip off of the bulb without being able to see it and do what needs to be done to get it off.
Basically, what I'm saying is that if you're not an S-Line on the B7's, the bumper has to come off.
Also, I wouldn't go through the hassle again unless I were going to do all the bulbs and not just the fogs.
Having said that........I love the new fogs and it's going to kill me to have to wait to match them.

My hands are too big and my arms are too thick to fit through the grill pieces where the fogs are.

Yeah.....that's the thing about the fogs.
You can twist / move the bulb, but it's not going to do you any good unless you are able to get it unclipped once you have it out.
I can assure you, with 100% certainty, no one in North America is skilled enough to get their hand in there, unclip it one-handed, and then rotate the bulb out.
So.....off comes the bumper. Once you get the bumper off, you will see something that looks similar to this. (below)
This is NOT from an Audi, but it's just an idea of what the clip looks like.
Actually, this clip picture doesn't do the evil Audi clip justice.
It's truly a nasty little clip......possibly the hardest part of the whole process - lol.
