Getting ready to change the oil filter on this car and want to know if there is anything special i should know before doing so. I have the drop in kind (element filter with out the casing). Want to make sure I don't screw anything up. Thanks

Also is there a good repair manuel out for this??

Why dont you just let the dealer do the oil changes?

I like to work on cars, always have. Used to do alot of drag racing with V8 buicks, did car repair on the side for a while, and like to know my car I'm driving. Then I could use the money I save for go fast things.

perhaps he doesnt like getting fucked in the ***

Dealer = $80-250 for oil changes/inspections

audi stopped having free scheduled maintinence a few years ago.. i think 2004 was the last year to have it

Unfortunatley no I don't. Which I don't mind since I like working on my stuff anyways. This is just new school to me. Used to work with V8 buick motors when I drag raced a few years ago. And did some side work as a mechanic in my garage on some of the 60's through 90's cars. I live in a new place now and have a huge garage for my toys and such with heat. So that is why I work on my own stuff if possible. Dealers are such a rip off. Now if I have warranty work to be done, your damn right I'm taking it to the dealer.

Hey Mike, just about to do 1st oil change on recently purchased 07 A4 2.0T. Not quite the same as my 65 Riv 401 Nailhead. Should be able to figure it out, allthough it could get a little messy.

Changing oil on the B7 is definitely different, but not difficult with the right tools. For me, the most time consuming task was actually removing the belly pan.

Here is the link on what you'll need and what to do:
