2017 A4, switching out 19 inch wheels for 18 inch
Hello. Glad I found this forum. This is my first post.
I bought a new 2017 A4 with sport package. Buying the sport package probably was a mistake as my wife and I are not aggressive drivers and would prefer more comfort and wouldn't mind sacrificing performance capabilities that we rarely use. The vehicle has 19 inch wheels and summer tires. I live in Northern California and the summer tires are OK except I understand that I should not use them for occasional trips to snow country. I'm thinking about switching to all season when the current summer tires wear out. Also thinking about actually switching out the 19 inch wheels for 18 or even 17 inch wheels and then, of course, going with all season tires. Would appreciate comments on these approaches. Thanks much. I understand that either way, I still have the stiffer suspension that is part of the sport package but I'm basically trying to "undo" the sports package by focusing on tires and wheels.
