i go to school up in ct, and fairfield county has been declared like a snow emergency as of right now.
i live in a beach house on the water (long island sound), and jesus, we are getting hit hard)

so we get 8 inches last night, with another 10-14inches to come tonight, and all i can say is wow.
my car with normal all seasons tore through that snow like it was nothing. my housemate has a 2004 c240 4matic, and it was the most painful experience ever, to watch him try to get his car out of the snow. rear wheels would spin, then the front, then nothing... it would have WOT and nothing at all. goes to show that quattro really does own the snow

Interesting. I just did a quick seach and apparently the 4matic is rear wheel biased. Traction problem could have been a difference in tires too. *shrug* Go quattro!
