Umm, i thought GIAC didn't have 2 separate programs for 91 or 93. I thought the one program was it, and it adapts to either 91 or 93 (depending on what you fill up with).

 

Im ready to get my car chipped as well, but im goingwith APR.I saw that you can add programs from stock, chipped and 93 Octane! do you guys think its worth adding programs??? and there is also an extra charge for Fault Code Erase/Throttle Body Alignment which i dont know what thats for??

 

You will save 200.00 when you upgrade to k04 pc16.

If you order the AWE k04 for 1699.00 + 200.00 for pc16=1899.00 - 200 because you have giac already = 1699.00+ 400 for your ko3 GIAC that you already had = 2099.00

If you spent 150.00 on the Inmotion chip then purchased the AWE k04 for 1699.00+200 pc16=1899.00 + 150.00 you spent on the Inmotion chip=2049.00

Still cheaper and you get a good tuning to have fun with befor you go K04.

 

Yeah thats a good point. I am not going to be buying that kit though. I will be sending my K03 into gpopshop and have them make it into a K04. Does anyone know if it's to K04-015 specs though? I will have to look that up.

Not sure about the specs on the gpopshop k04.

When you chip your car you should go 91 if you can only get 92 where you live.

 

I just called GPopShop and it is built up to the K04-015 specs.

Now the only thing is that it siad that it is only rated to 210 hp. Hmm....

The "octane" ratings at the pump are an average value, not a minimum. Thus, some days the station may be filling you up with <92 and others >92 depending on their recent shipments. My advice is to get the 91 and fill with 92, at least that way when you stray lower than 92 you'll be in better shape than the other alternative - always being <93.
