91 or 95 octane??
Hey there ppl. I live in New Zealand and just wondering what grade fuel i should be using in my 97 A4 1.8T quattro?? I fuel up at shell and normaly fill 91octane gas because i think it runs better with 91 then 95 octane. Dont know if its me or if it realy does run better with 91 octane.
ok My question is. is 91 octane to less of a octane gas for my car?? Provided if anyone knows about different grade fuel in diff countrys.

NO, not at all, I’m originally from Ukraine/Russia and lots of ppl using 98 on higher class cars (bmw, Mercedes, Audi). not so sure about this, but I would think fuel grade is different.

You should be using 95 minimum, 98 if you are chipped.

lowest octane in the UK is 95 Ron but we also have 98 Ron which gives more power and if driven at a leisurely speed will return better MPG no requirements to alter any computer settings through that should do it by its self
