I have come across a 1996 2.8 for sale for 1200 +dealer fees. The thing looks beautiful. All options and clean paint. The only issue isand I see it being a big one is that it overheats the guy says. He says it is being soldso cheap because he doesnt want to mess with it. He also says that he is 99% sure that it is the thermostat. What is more than likely the actualissue? How much would I be looking at repair wise? I am no stranger to turning a wrench. Thanksfor any help.

 

could be thermostat, low coolant, coolant leak, bad ECT. all very easy to fix except that thermostat. well let me tell u this, if u don't care bout the power of a car u should get it. otherwise, u can get it, fix it up and sell it for alot more than 1200 + dealer fees. ur other option is looking for a 98-2001 2.8
