I have a 1996 A4 2.8 Quattro and after this winter the a/c did not work. I charged the freon and three days later the system was practically out of freon again. We diagnosed the problem to be the condenser. There is a point about the size of a quarter that looks as if it had been punctured. I was just wondering where I would be able to purchase a condenser, perhaps a used one to minimize the $350.00 that I was quoted for a new one. Thanks in advance.

Were you able to get a condenser? I've been given the same diagnosis. But, they quoted me $800 for parts and labor. Is the labor that difficult? Mine is a 1997 1.8t.
