Okay I am trying to restore my 96 a4 audi. A few months back I had the car running without the serpentine belt on because I had stuck alternator so I had the alternator rebuilt installed it and now the car won't won't turn over. The first 5-8 times the starter attempted to turn over but wasn't successful and actually quit attempting to turn all together. This car was parked in the yard for some time could the starter had just went out? I checked the owners car manual for information but didn't find any potential relays that may have went out. The vehicle did take on some water damage due to debris plugging up the drain. Can someone please give me some insight on some potential issues I may be facing now before I get to much invested.
