i got a 97 a4 1.8t with a mbc should their be a noticable difference in power or boost? and should it pull alot with a stock k03 turbo no mods? just asking because mine is weak and dosnt keep up with my buddys 99 honda 4 banger stock so i think sumthin is wrong? any advice

 

You probably won't notice much of a difference without a chip. Mr. CincyTT might be able to school ya on the specifics. Don't be surprised hondas are beating you, as the stock 150hp and quattro(if you have it) is no rocket

 

your buddies honda weighs a lot less. and you cant just turn up the boost with a mbc. if you run out of the range of what the MAF can correct you will run lean and fvck up your engine. spend 125 bucks and get the speedtuning chip

 

im just having a hard time finding stuff that isnt a fake like (add 25-50hp now & the other ones are like $500) i just bought a new k03 turbo dv valve + new recirculator valve + have mbc and just got a ecm programer w/ the cd so.... im on the right track i hope!!??!!

sounds like you are off track...

did you blow your turbo? why would you buy another stock turbo?...you prolly coulda got a ko4-15 for the same $, it's a direct replacement, and it will give you a real good bump in power for the $/effort...

if you raise the boost with an mbc, you will risk major engine damage...

return the jet performance programmer (it will hurt more than it will help)- after you get your money back buy a chip

I'd bet the speed tuning chip will ive you at least 35hp/50ft/lbs (at the very least)

besides that, you need a boost guage asap!

it sounds like the only sound investment you have made in your car so far is a Diverter valve....(hopefully closed loop *fingers crossed*)

lol i just returned everything and i got a better shot asking you and the fourm because everyone else thinks im stupid! im just new to the audi and turbos...

but have 5-6yrs auto exp. but like i sed the turbo is a whole diff ball game..
and i know a kid i used to work with has a 98 that is chipped with injectorsand his psi is at about 18! yet his is a manual witch shouldnt make to much diff

 

why would he upgrade the injectors on a b5 with stock turbo?
