I don't know much about Audi's and I found one for sale but the timing belt broke and was wondering if the 2.8 quattro is inference or non-interference engine? The car is cheap enough that if the engine is still good I would have no problem putting a new belt in, but if the engine is crap after the belt breaks I'll just keep looking for something better.

if the belt went you are probably looking a valve salad. compression test to confirm.
