So here I am, I finally bought one!! (and I have how many posts??)

Im going to go throught it with a fine tooth comb tomorrow.. but It has 135k miles, its a 98 turbo quattro manual.
Its white, it has a borla muffler, a chip, and full coil overs.

Heres the kicker, the guy says its an imported car from europe, Carfax doesnt show it, but it has a smaller passanger mirror.. and a litle more hp than I was expecting..

He claimed it had 340hp with stock turbo and chip/exhaust.. Im not stupid, I was expecting around 200. Well driving it, it sure does feel all more powerful than 200hp... AND its only boosting to 17psi in low gears, 15psi in the higher gears.. I'll be g teching it tomorrow, but it feels all of 240 crank hp..

I have a gtech.. same thing.. lol It's going on the g tech tomorrow.

 

if the carfax doesn't say its from europe than it ain't. the guy was just yanking your chain. i think it was 99.5 that started having equal sized side mirrors. my 98.5 has the small one too. you should either get a new wastegate and/or dv. with the chip you should be spiking at 21 and holding at 17. im betting it has somewhere around 200-210 crank hp

 

The chip is set to that psi. It has a forged dv already, and the wastegate has been gone through..

Alright, he lied like lots of other stuff.. cool, Glad im not going crazy..

I think he meant it is a European car, either way congrats. It looks real clean.

 

yea.. not a european import...it dosent even have the euro plate recesses

and i higly doubt you have 240hp on stock turbo, especially with just those mods

 

Not from europe, clean clean ride though... get some rims on that though.
