hey guys i posted this in the new members section also but i think it is more relevent in here, so mods if you could delete that one that would be great, i want to buy a 98 a4 2.8 v6 what are things i should look for? problem areas i kno timing belt anythin else?

i would keep shopping. I would reccomend a 99.5+ year. really no difference in price, but a better looking/option car. I myself would look for a bone stock car.(i.e. no body mods or anything) good luck

 

Are you sure you want a 2.8? There are essentially no engine mods for that engine. That is fine if that is what you want.

Make sure the car is quattro.

Other problems are front suspension. Listen for squeeks or clunks when slowly going over bumps.
