Hey guys. I usually post on the A6 forums but a buddy of mine just got a 98 A4 1.8T so he wanted me to post on here and ask a few ?'s. The main thing is what can he do to it. Like Performance wise what do you recommend and what brands.

what is your hp goal? thats usually something good to start off with, if your looking for modding basics, go to the post above, if your going hardcore, then be more specific

 

Ebay Air intake, and a full bolt on exhuast system thats 2.5 inches or bigger Toa fee-flowing muffler, and of course you "Chip" An upgraded, re-formatted, ECU chip.
-Is it a 1.8Lt or 2.8L?

 

if he is asking what mods he can do, he's not going hardcore

 

all i can say to your friend is expect to pay more for anything he wants to do. not even like VW where there are several brands for all the basic ups. Audi mod companies are much more scarce.

 

Thanks guys. yeah we talked about chipping and **** but like I have a 2.8 A6 nothing really you can do to that. So like I really appreciate the advice and such. It is a 1.8T and hes planning on going hardcore i would say. Deff gonna chip. but he also wants a really nice sounding Exhaust system. Thanks again
