99 or 99.5?

i just bought a yellow 99 a4 1.8t Q manual... how do i know if tis 99.5 or 99? previous owner put a giac chip and the atb exhaust on it. is my exhaust cat back? also he said it has the sport package, and the only evidence that shows to the naked eye is the steering wheel with and s4 emblem and the lack of power seats... what else is encluded? suspension mods etc.... i know its got some, just not sure what they are... springs sway bar?

also, i kinda popped the clutch a little high ( its a fairly new clutch, under 5k) when i was day dreaming at a stop light and noticed a little burning smell, not like rubber, almost like fluid... any ideas? normal, should i be concerned?

its not an s4 badge on the steering wheel. its just the "audi sport" badge. 99.5 has one peice headlights, symphony radio, newer style tails, the sunroof switch is different, eqaul size side view mirrors and some other things. The main indicator is the one piece headlights.

sweet. mines just a 99. but no, the steering wheel DEFINENTLY says S4 at the bottom... maybe that was done seperately. can u tell me anything about the exhaust? its not very loud... does it yield any power? he said ATB was like audi's tuning company or whatever like most cars have so im guessing its not very much power.

Dont know about ATB exhausts, im sure its a wider diameter than stock and allows for freer flow.. Maybe 5-10hp extra. There are lots of tuning companies for Audi/VW. ATB is not as well known as the majority.

I agree with all this but one part.. lol Im almost positive 99.5s have funky mirrors still its 00 and newer that got the normal ones... i think... i just know three 99.5s I have seen had the one retarded mirror

he gave me the impression that it wa slike svt to ford or mazdaspeed to mazda etc. i dont know the euro companies as well but like bmw and mercedes have them... just dont want to spit something wrong out and make an *** of myself... =) but u get what i mean...
