Unfortunately if its not leaking it and only burning it it's probably rings. I would do a compression test and or a leak down test.

Is it possible to change the rings without removing the engine block?

I suppose but I wouldn't just because you practically need to pull the engine anyways, and having the engine out makes it much easier to hone if you do it yourself.

UPDATE: ok so i did the compression test

cyl#
1-120
2-130
3-145
4-120
5-140
6-130

Added rislone additive in with the oil yesterday.

But today i'm noticing really rough idle and a really slow response when i accelerate, and when i floor it, it makes a chocking sound,

my mafs been un-plugged for like a year, and ive cleared the 02 codes.

also my coil pack and spark plugs and spark plug wires are all good.

air filter is clean and throttle body is aswell (didnt pull the throttle body off to clean it just used cleaner and a tooth brush)

ANY IDEAS?

also i notices on the right head there is oil on top of the head and outside the cover from what looks like a spill (probably the a hole who changed my oil! NEVER GO TO PEP BOYS)

are you sure youre not leaking oil? look closely. if it were burning that much youd see smoke most likely. common leaks would be valve cover gaskets, cam chain tensioner gaskets, oil cooler, pan gaskets, maybe even the oil plug

Why is your MAF unplugged? It should always be plugged in. Running it this way for a long period of time could cause damage...

Well its been unplugged because its dead. All the new ones I've bought don't work. I got two used ones and a no name brand new one that didn't work. The used ones worked for a while.

-noticed a hole in the exhaust so I jb welded it
-checked fuel injectors and they are all clean. Really clean anlmost not gunk at all.

Now I'm just waiting for the jb weld to dry and well see if it fixed it. If not I'm guna throw some seafoam into the tank.
