Default ???

I have three questions, the first is who makes the E code intercoolers; is the ko3 turbo in the 01 1.8t; and if i were to buy an intercooler and install it with my stock bumper, would it not get as much airflow and not as much performance than with an aftermarket one?
Thanks.

you can use a front mount with stock bumper. You may need a michetee though.

I'm considering a front mount, too. I did a search a couple of days ago and found that a 6" tall FMIC should fit with little to no bumper modification...I guess it depends on how you mount it and how deep it is.
