Default A3 & A4 Owners

I was just wondering! How many A4 owners are having problems with their machine?
not long after purchase. You see i read a thread earlier about an A4 guy with a few problems and worked out that i've had my A4 1.8T 2001 for 18months now, and so far it's had, new fuel pump and tank wash, the fuel filter burst, and had a defective front disc, and now the head gasket might have gone.
But before the A4 i had an W reg A3 for 3 years and nothing ever went wrong with that. and before that i had an audi 100 that ran for ever, only prob i did have with that one was the reverse gear went, but that would stop no man......
I supose what i'm getting at is are the older one's better?

This is a 99.5 A4 1.8tAT

Problems:
Winshield Washer pump (cheap under $25)
Spring on door handle let go (jurry rigged another $0)
Botls on skid plate rattleing off ($2 a peice, I suggest finding a way to secure them so when they come loose they dont fall)
Leather seats crasking $25 (periodicaly applying leather/vinere(sp) patch kits to it)
Got another issue right now not solved im still troubleshooting.

Maintance not counting oil, wheels, spark plugs:
Timing belt, water pump ($350, this is a major one and needs to be done before 60-70k miles)

My list is very small compaired to others Most people have had many more problems than me. I have been chipped with an APR for 2+ years. Expect much more than whats on tbis list.
