A3 vs. b6 a4
dude lemme say sweet b6 nicest one ove seen on the forum u n flynb, mad props... but yea i love the a3 at first i hated it but i think german cars just grow on u. i hated the new 3 series and surley enough it grew on me. i saw one with a ac shnitzer body kit on it wow that was one sharp car. wat i lyk about the a3 is not alot of ppl have it. and in european car they rave how great the car is. especially with one nuespeed tuned. they said it had one of the most furious burn outs ever n said that says alot
, so i mean that alone makes me think about gettn it, and i was thinkn about the new gti but i kno in no time just like the old ones every1 and their mother will have one while the a3 will still remain rare. whats this of a 2 door a3?........and to clear up rumors i spoke to my dealer yesterday, no s3 will see us soil. and a rs3 might see us soil after the new ttrs is released.......which will be in approx 2 years or a lil less give or take a month.

If i was you i would go with the 3.2 s a3 they are a good car. If your looking for a new car like of the lot new then really how much modding are you goin to be doing right away anyways . I belive alot of mods would not be allowed with factory warrenty. Then if you do deccide to mod the car by that time you should prob have some opptions preformance wise.
well wenever you do modding to ur car ur preety much voiding ur warentee so i mean in by b6 now i already voided certain parts of my warentee. but my advantage is im good freinds with 2 freinds at maintence at AUDI and im goin with 2 dealers from my dealership to waterfest. so i mean teir both enthusiasts so theyll hook me up. immeadiate mods hopefully at waterfest would include nuespeed pulleys, exhaust, silicone turbo hose, intake, and cross driller rotors. before waterfest id have a chip from giac for sure. so after that im doin easily 280 bhp. and although i am voiding certain parts of my warentee they aren major upgrades. if a big turbo ste up ius released i would think of installing it simply cuz i kno id have sensors poping up all over. lemme kno wat u guys think.

Yeah but in reality... quattro on dry pavement isn't going to do much, ever. Wet roads... yeah sure sometimes... but snow is really where quattro is worth the added expense.

wow, man - thats completely false.
Quattro is great in snow but on dry pavement it also means a hell of a lot. Means little to no torque steer, faster entry into corners, quicker to get on gas out of corners (rear wheels can push as the front wheels steer - not as easy with a FWD). FWD = always fighting for traction. AWD handles bumps in the road better at high speed - especially around corners... there's more reasons than I want to even go into here...

i kno wen reading this it seems like another verses thread but its not. ive been having problems with by b6 a4 1.8. i got hids n the ppl who installled it did a chop job n now all the wiring has been exposed to heat so theres no way to turn on my left headlight. so my mom runs me the idea that maybe i should get a new car n ask me how the new ones r goin for. so wen i took the car yesterday to audi to look at my light i saw all the new a3's i admitt ive become a big fan of them. so i tell her about 27-28 stick plus tax. she goes maybe we should trade in. what u guys think. i love that car! advantages are that its a 2.0t as apposed to me 1.8t and has 200hp as apposed to my 170. disadvantage the only a3 affered with quattro i beleive is the 3.2 s line whicch id die to get with the new dsg. but fact remains id get the 2.0 t. so is it worht sacraficing my quattro for the a3? any comments would be helpful thanx.

yea i have driven the new engine n ur absolutly right, its awesome. the reason i havent bought it yet is cuz i havent had the time to go to the dealership n actually sit down. for those who tell get a 3.2l s line i mean guys its about 44 g's afetr all the garbage thats on it i saw one in the lot, they dont come stick! and honostly not with 44 g's id much rather get a b6 S4 and i think every1 agrees on that. god i love s4's. the thought of maybe jumpn into a b5 s4 is tempting. who can touch me with a stage 3 apr (450+ bhp) or even if i just swap out the turbos.....wow thats just to much power.
