Default a4 1.8t 99.. what engine

okay guys.. what engine does it have rougly... a v5.. or a v4....???? you have to know for a fact to post.. and write evidence... i think v4... but its 4cyl... with 5 valves per cyl... thnx guys.

Yeah um, to be a V configuration you'd have to have 2 banks of 2 cylinders...this is an Inline 4 cylinder, so technically it's an I-4. the 5V Turbo just means that you have 5 valves per cylinder so you have a 20-valve engine and it's turbocharged...hence a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder, 20 valve, turbo engine.

I wonder if any manufacturers actually make a 4 cyl in a V configuration. I know Porsche and Subaru have their boxer types but that's not really what I'd consider a V...[&:]

Edit: Oh and thumbs up to you guys for being nice to this guy. Most other forums I'm on, this guy would have been flamed for the next week for thinking we had V4 engines. I say let the people ask their questions no matter how silly they may seem to you, that may be the only way they find out.
