A4 1.8t price
Hey guys im new to the forum. I would like to know if 7500-tax,title, lic. included would be a good price for a 1998 A4 1.8t w/ 94,000 miles. It is fully loaded, leather, bose, cd changer, etc. Is it a good deal??
My price range is 7500 firm and would like to know what year or how many miles i would expect an A4 would be at that price. Im going shopping this mon and must buy one on that day (complicated story) so immediate inputs would be very welcomed.

When I bought my 98 a4, I got it for $7,000 with 80k.
Just giving you something to compare it to.
Also, is the timing belt etc. and such done on that car? It wasn't on mine, so I got the price down quite a bit.

Yes, you definately want to ask about the timing belt. For a car with that many miles, if it wasn't done yet, it needs to be done ASAP. At a dealer that could cost +/- $1,000. So it's definately not a cheap job. If you know how to do it or know an independent Audi mechanic, it would obviously be less. I got mine done along with water pump and stuff for $800 from a local audi guy.
Well guys im officially part of the group!! haha... I purchased a 1999.5 audi A4 1.8T w/ 120,000 Auto with tiptronic. Fully loaded except for Bose. I got it for 8800 out the door. Not a bad deal considering its carfax history and also it was previously at carmax. I also have a 3month/3,000mi warranty on the powertrain and engine on the car. Looks really clean. Let me know if i got a good deal and if theres anything maintenancewise i should do.
- Also what type of oil and what grade do u guys usually put on a 1.8T, im about to do an oil change on the car myself and don't want to screw up,lol.

congrats!! welcome to audiforums and audi life...
we only do AMSOIL at our shop for all maintenance.. arguably the best synthetic there is.
was the timing belt done?
if you want you could swing in and we'd do a free evaluation of the car and give you any suggestions.

A little off topic, but I live pretty close to Arlington Heights, and was wondering what kind of work you folks do. Do you do all the maintenance that audi dealers charge a ton more for?? Or body work/detailing type stuff??
ANd if so, do you deal with warrantees?
I ask, because I have a couple things that I would like to have looked at/fixed, and I have that 60K timing belt issue coming very soon.
Let me know, thanks.
