Default A4 1.8T problem

Hello!

I would like to apologize for all mistakes that ill make in this post since im not from english speaking country.

I recently bought Audi A4 '95 1.8 turbo, and when I was testing it i noticed that when I press gas pedal to full at low RPM it feels like its working on 3 cylinders and it chokes for a second or so. But the seller convinced me that it is hapening because of chip tunning and that at such low rpm engine cannot consume that amount of fuel at once. It was really not annoying since it was really only hapening at low rpm with pedal on the flor which i never do in usual driving, so i thought its no problem. I bought the car and I made 4000km and the situation has worsen. Now even at 4000rpm if i put pedal to the flor it wont produce high power instead it goes like one or two spark plugs arent producing sparks. I realy cannot express my technical thoughts in english I hope u understand me. Its like engine is choking. Now i have low experience in cars but i have a list of things in my head that might cause the prob:

fuel pump failure
chip
spark plugs or cables

When i drive normally nothing is wrong. Please help me with your advices what could be wrong and if someone had this kind of problem please tell me what can i expect before i go to car service.

Thank you all!
Bye

Start simple, check plugs and plug wires first.

Hi ZDDD! Well first let me just say your english is better that mine.............
About the car, when you get the flat spot when accelerating does the car miss/splutter a bit before it picks up/clears, a bit like a kangeroo..... Boing, Boing... if so it could be your fuel pump!! You see that's what mine was doing, and that's what mine was..........Retailing at £400 + tank wash.....
But before spending any cash, take it to local garage and get it hooked up to diagnostic machine for exact pinpoint to make sure,
(my theory only could also be a lot of other things..... get checked)

Could be ignition coils.

Thank you guys, I think ill hook it up on to diagnostic computer, since i tried to find the problem my self and i didnt get anywhere. Couldnt even find spark plugs. I found 4 strange things on top of engine block. Probably plugs are below those. I think I could fix an old carburator type of machine but this one is too much for me.
Its hard to explain how car is behaving. Sometimes it feels like 1 spark plug is not working and sometimes like all 4 die and I begin to slow down instead of accelrate. Its scary actualy since the pedal is on the flor. Strange. Otherwise its going great. I drove 235 km/h one day just for test, so when i accelrate slowly its no problem. I really hope its only some cable that is getting in contact with (-)

Hi Bantanic! Well its not going on and off if I understood u right. Its constant shocking until I come off the pedal. Then it returnes to normal.

Hi Crazyhawk! I wish it was that instead of chip or computer or some strange complex and EXPENSIVE thing [&:] Why u say coils i thought theres only 1 and then it gives enough for all 4 spark plugs?

The four things on top of the spark plugs are ignition coils. On the 2001 1.8t they were a known problem.

My friend had numerous problems with his a4 coil packs. The symptoms were very similar.

Oh great, thanks! Do u guys think they can be fixed or cleaned, or need to be replaced, if they are causing the problem?
