Not sure what to do. I have my 01 2.8Q and love it. I drive long distances everyday and it has been a gret car. I am considering buying an older A4 1.8T and just modifying the crap out of it, or getting 2000 or 2001 S4 and doing small things to it. the reason the debate is because I am a guy who likes to tinker with things and if I get the S4, I will change a couple of things i.e. chip, snub mount, suspension, but if I get the 1.8T there are so many more changes. So the questions is, which one? I want a car i can work on, drive freakin fast on country roads and handles like it is on rails. I am looking at a 2000 S4 for $12,500 with 96,000 miles on it or a 1998 1.8t with 92,000 miles for $4500. Not sure, waht do you guys think? remember this is a weekend sometimes weekday care. My 2.8 is not going anywhere.

holy **** that is cheap for a S4 definetly go the S4 route but I would definetly get it checked out before buying it that seems really low for a S

 

buy both then sell whichever u dont like for double the price...

If you like to tinker buy the S$ there are 2 turbo's instead of one so do a huge turbo upgrade on that thing. It would be super fast

 

for that price, i would of gone with the s4. if i haven't found my b5 yet.

 

My vote... for the price... S4 all the way.

 

S4, but check it out thoroughly before you buy, thats a very very low price. You'd go plenty fast with the S4.
