I am looking to get into the world of Audi and have a chance to get a 99 A4 2.8 with 150K miles on it for about six grand. The dealer says that all the Audi-recommended service has been done and has the records to prove it. I know that I might have to change the timing belt, depending on when it was last changed and that I should check the control arms during the test drive. Does anyone have any other thoughts on this being a good/passable/horrible idea? Thanks!

 

150 miles is a lot but if the car is clean I would check it all out see if the control arms have been done timing belt been done

 

150K is not worth 6 grand in my opinion, you should be able to work that done to around 5.

Yeah that is a ton of miles. You could get a much better deal on a year older A4 with many less miles.

 

thats way too much money for a car with that many miles. buy an older one with less miles.. you want to be the one driving your car into 150k
