I am looking at buying an Audi A4 2.4 Tiptronic.


Can someone help me with information? Is the engine any good? Are there any specific problems I should look for? The cars I am looking at are as follows:


1999 A4 2.4 Tip 113K KM, 1 owner, no accidents, fsh, e/w etc etc etc
1998 A4 2.4 Tip Ambition 67K KM, 1 owner, no accidents, fsh
1998 A4 2.4 Tip Advance 22K KM, 1 owner, no accidents, fsh


What is the difference between an Advance and an Ambition? <img border="0" src= "http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emcrook.gif>


Any thoughts on the above cars?

hopefully you can find someone that knows the European models. I think everyone on this board is in North America, and we do not get the 2.4.</P>


All we get is the 1.8T, 2.8 (for the B5), and 3.0 (for the 8e).</P>


Is advance/ambission referring to the interior style? If so there were some different seating/interior colors available among the different 'atmospheres,' nothing major.</P>

The Ambition/Advance term does indeed refer to the trim level. I think (but totally not sure) that the advance is higher.</P>


Yeah well we at least get more choice if not the better car! I can't believe the US only gets the 1.8T and the 2.8!!!!</P>

Does europe get the special models made by US companies? Like all the Special edition Mustangs and Camaros.</P>

 

American cars are FEW and very far between in the UK (THANK GOD!!!!)</P>
