OK before i begin, Im new to this forum and to Audi's so please forgive my ignorance.

Im considering getting a 2.6 is there any reccuring problems that i could do with knowing or anything that is should pay particular attention to when purchasing? Also what kind of performance can i expect from this vehicle and on the flip side what kind of MPG??

hey mate im from australia... i own a 96, 2.6 v6 what did u want to know about it? ive had mine for 12 months runs beautifully. and it will stay 2 car lengths ahead of the 1.8T and i have no eng mods yet...

P is probably for parking.

If the parts are available for your 2.6, get an aftermarket exhaust, a k&N drop in air filter, and maybe a chip.

There's always suspension and brakes, power is not everything. Get some coilovers and drop that thing.

If you get it. Generally, the 6 cycl engine is more reliable, less to break, easier to troubleshoot.

Dont know the particulars for that model, try audiworld maybe for more opinions if no one else here knows.
