Can anybody make any suggestions about how to improve the ride quaility of my 2004 A4 1.8 Quattro? Can I use a different tire on the same rim? The car came with 18's.

 

do u have a base one or sport package or ultra sport package

u can upgrade your suspension with shocks, or coilovers they should help wit ride quality
but if u got the money get a damper system
dont use used different tires on different wheels at the same time thats a no no
the ride will be horrible and it might mess wit your quattro

 

i have the ultra sport also man and i think the ride is great it sticks to the rode like peanut butter...you really cant do much to improve on the ride without sacrificng the already great cornering

 

Panda...he meant diff tires all together.....if you're running like an all season or winter tire in warm weather....you dont need to at all...changing to a sport or summer tire may help a bit..but i think you're isssue is coming from the sus[.

LOL, he doesnt like the ride..well u got to sacrafice someting for they hot sexy look..if it bothers u that much...u can have my 05' with sport packadge for ur audi! "LOL".....good luck with softening the ride....

 

if you want a softer ride, get a toyota camry. if you want awesome handling, leave car the way it is.
