Default A4 3L V6 Intake ChangeOver Rod Actuator Doodad

Just brought my A4 in for service since check engine light went on.

The variable intake manifold drive unit had 2 broken linkages, they want $650 just for the stupid part. They gave me p/n 06C133611.

Did some searching and found these metal replacments -

gruvenparts.com - Billet Audi A4/A6 3L V6 Intake Link Arms

rotary drive unit part number 06C-133-611 (06C133611) installed onto intake manifold part number 06C-133-201J (06C133201J

I will probably order them up and let you know what happens. Not sure how to install these, hopefully not too bad. Dealer also said they would do it as well so that may be the route i take.

I've heard of people epoxying paper clips on the arms.. Lol.. Metal replacements sound like a better idea, although I guess its the same thing .. Let us know..

Cant imagine using paperclips on my baby. The GruvenParts metal arms are proper fix, lifetime warranty. I have too much other stuff to worry about to have to continually fix this thing. Has anyone bought from them yet?

Is there anywhere to buy the actuator bellows? I need 1, Audi dealer wants me to buy whole new engine or something stoopid.

That part number is correct for the 3.0 liter engine. We have that unit in stock for 393.54 dollars. It does have both bellows and the arms on it, like the color picture above shows. I don't see the bellows listed seperately though.

Thanks, good price. I may pick that up. Ive already bought the GruvenParts metal linkage arms because the crap plastic 1s are terrible. But I still need 1 bellow, will see what I can find.

I don't think any codes are thrown by this.. Mine were broke when I purchased mine and I fabricated some at work about a year later.. But I never saw a code.. I maintain that they're certainly not worth 400 to fix.. But who am i

Ok thanks for the info. My audi dealer is telling me they will most definitely throw codes as it results in lean mixture, it will also reduce power by 15%, and cause all sorts of idling issues.

From what Im seeing, it seems pretty accurate as I have all 3 issues going on. But yeah I agree $400 dealer price for new plastic shiz is not worth it at all. Glad there is metal replacement for $100.
