If you want to make your car interior look cooler (stock looking) and have extra entertainment functions while having navi,

- navigation (standard)
- DVD playback (standard)
- I-pod adapter (optional)
- rear view camera (optional)
- XM radio (optional)
- bluetooth adapter (handsfree, optional)
- Video-Inputs (play xbox, ps2 on your audi, optional)
and a lot more...

I found an AWESOME in-dash touch screen monitor with a dvd drive and build in amp. the place i'm linking also has a whole "CarPC" section for those fellow geeks out there (i had a mini tower in the trunk of my M3 and controlled it VIA PCAnywhere from a PDA i had in the front, as long as the system was shotdown correctly into hibernate it was quick to come back up the next time you needed it).

This is the track i'm planing on going with one of the car PC cases they have. VAGCOM right on the dash along with internet when in range of a wifi spot or your house, plus all the mp3s and videos you can pack on a massive harddrive. oh, and i almost forgot, your nav system, there are plenty of NAV products that run on a PC. Of course this if just the frosting on the cake, i have more engine / handling items to deal with first.

No, it is not detachable.
my 02 A4 B6 3.0 doesnt have steering wheel controls, so Im not sure if "Pioneer Steering Wheel Audio Control Adapter" would work with it.

Get the monitor/amp i linked earlier and you could have a system for less $$$ that has 10x the functionality, it's a full blow windows PC. I can't wait till the day i can play World Of Warcraft in my car on the head unit. ****, if i had the money for one right now i would be typing this from my head unit in my car. laptop will have to hold me over until then.

The system is actually run off windows xp. Streetdeck has been around for awhile and is constantly being updated. It has XM satelite radio ability, OBO-II ability (engine Diagnostics) Bluetooth phone support, Reverse camera, Touch screen, ect. And HELL yes its pricey, and there is a lot of add ons you have to buy. I was just throwing it out there as an option and something to look into.
