Hi all, i have my first real problem with my 2001 a4 and i am seeking some expert assistance. I was out of the country from december to april and my battery died some time in mid january. from jan to april the car sat in the garage not started. when i tried to jump start it several times it never kept charge. once after it shut off i jumped and the alarm sounded. since then i have replaced the batter and put in a brand new one but now every time i try to open the door the alarm sounds, but not the horn alarm instead its a louder pitch alarm. the only way i can get this alarm to go off is to disconnect the batter pole. while in the alarm state the car will not start.

i did notice a blue flashing light on the fm receiver placed next to the rear view mirror which i have never noticed before.

any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. my next option is to bring it to the dealer but time has not permitted so i thought i would get some opinions first.

Have you Checked your interior motion sensor? Its just a thought
