A4 auto to manual?
I have a 1998 A4 1.6L. It's in the caribbean. I know you don't get this model in America.
Anyway i am in texas right now at school and have been purchasing parts for it. However its automatic. What exactly will i need to change it from automatic to manual. Beucase i am sure i will get the parts cheaper here in the US than back at home on the island. It's also right hand drive. Please help me out. I wanna get it racing soon. Noone thinks that these european cars are any good back at home because they're only those "fast and furious ricers."

Ok , so its too expensive to switch to manual. If i drive the car switchin thru the lower gears with the automatic shifter eg. 1 2 3 D , Would i be messing anything up? My car doesnt have tip tronic either.
Uh, you COULD mess something up yes... Just put it in drive and let it be. Shifting like that takes a toll on a trans over time, and can make it overheat and hot transmissions blow up. Your torque converter won't like you either.
Ok , so is there anyway to launch my car for a quicker start?? One of my friends told me to power brake and i wud get wheel slip. How exactly do i go about this? or any other way to get the tyres spinnin at a stop , maybe handbrake or something??

yea just hold the handbrake for like a minute and then let go. you'll do a huge burnout and you'll fly foward at lightning speed. I heard thats its reallllly good for your transmission. It makes it stronger and what not
