yea, ross-tech's site is not designed very well.....vag-com is a obd2 tool that is AWESOME, and every audi owner should have it...it costs about 200 bucks and it comes with software and a cable...the cable (you can get a serial cable or a USB) plugs into a laptop and the other end plugs into your car. you can do alot of cool stuff with it, including resetting your CEL and service lights...don't buy a cheap cable off ebay, or you'll have to use old versions of ross-tech's software and probably have other problems too.

if you do any work on your own car then you should get a vag-com setup....(in case you're really unfamiliar with audis, OBD2 is on-board diagnostics) there is a plug already in your car. mine is next to the rear ashtray on the center console...but i think most of them are under the dash...

yeah man mines under the dash i just thought all the software and stuff would be in the 1000s thats sweet tho ill have 2 look into it. Thats the one thing I hate about audis is there is always some nack to the stupidest things that if you went to a dealer youd be out a couple hundred even tho its the most basic quick job. Last time i went in to the dealership they quoted me 150 bucks to get the alarm remotes re-programmed so i was like screw that, came on here and found out how easy it wsa
