Hi... New here...
I have a new 2011 A4 - have finished my 5K service including oil change.. currently have 12k Miles and my MMI OIl sensor says.. nothing there.. no oil, but the idiot light is not coming on either.. It was registering below mid way in the recent past

So I put in a Qt of oil.. but how do I get the MMI sensor to register?

I followed the warm it up.. turn off the ignition.. wait 2 minutes.. but
It says.. you must start the car to access this the Oil message...

so the idiot light says nothing and the "fancy shmancy" computer says low/no oil? what does the dipstick say?

A 2011?!?

take it back to the dealership and make them fix it to your satisfaction

 

I wish I had a dip stick... :-/
I guess.. I'll let it warm for a longer period of time...
I do 90% Hwy driving.. so I don't expect that much consumption...

Otherwise it runs great
Its an A4 Premium Plus..

 

Yes... a call to the dealer is in store in the morning...
