put your hand over the exhaust tip and if there is a coolant leak you can smell a sweet smell or taste it yuk but that's the coolant ( G12 ) not the water

 

I took a look at things again after work, and there was a spot where a small amount of coolant had leaked on the pavement, and coolant still on the suspension/frame members. It was just behind the axle and about 1 1/2 feet in from the tire to the center on the right side. I can't see what is above that is leaking, but presumably it is helpful in diagnosing to know it is an external leak and not through the exhaust, oilpan, etc.

Anyone have any ideas what might be leaking in this general vicinity?
