A4 diesel starting problem

[align=left]hi just wonderin could i pick someones brains my car seems to struggle on startup even when the engine is warm tested the heater plugs there fine, and i changed the temp sensor switch and still no difference the car runs perfectly when started any ideas?

have you checked the fuel pressure? I'm thinking of a clogged filter?

where you from? the U.S.? i dont think they have diesel audis in the US so if you are in the us and putting diesel in your car you might have a huge problem.

The Audi Diesel hasn't been imported since the 5000.

I'd suggest trying the VW sites as the TDI was imported stateside and they have much more experience with diese

4main areas for hard start on a diesel
1 - glow plugs
2 - fuel filter
3 - air in system
4 - fuel pump timing

im going for 1 and 3 in your case because it runs ok when started
