A4 Fuel Burn?
Hi Guys,
Just started looking for a solution to a issue in my A4 2004 Sline 1.8T
#1 Hesitation - I had it at low revs when taking off and also at low revs in traffic.. I was running 95 octane fuel and have now been running a higher 98 octane and the hisitation has gone away. Its on the end of the second tank of 98 and so far it looks to have solved the issue.
#2 Starting Issue - Only every now and then it would crank but not start. This would happen after if has been driven and then you stop for a short time before looking to start it again. A strong fuel smell was the first point noticed, it would cracnk for 10 secs and then start only to either splutter out and die or start to rev irraticly. Eventualy it settles down and runs as it should.
Any ideas on the second issue? I'm thinking that its something to do with fuel due to the smell of it and the reving (it could be burning the fuel away)??
Appreciate any feedback.
Thanks
