Default A4 headlamp

Anyone know how to change the right front headlight bulb in a 2003 A4? I think I need to remove onefluid reservoir to get to the bulb.

Thanks

By right headlamp are you talking about standing in front of the car (looking at the lights) and it being to the right on sitting at the steering wheel and it being to the right? If you are standing in front of the car and its to your right (which is really the left lamp I believe) you don't need to take out the reservoir (I thought the same thing at first). You need to take out 4 hex screws, 2 on top of the headlamp and two behind in the motor bay. Then just slide the whole lamp out and replace the blub. Push it back in and put the screws back.

haha. I recently just swapped out my stock H7 halogen bulbs for somr silverstars. Search the forums for "headlight replacement" or similar derivative. Both the passenger and driver's side headlights are held in by 4 torx screws each. The 2 on the top are easy to spot andhave to come out. The two behind the headlight toward the bottom simply need to be loosened a few turns. You'll find some pictures in the search results/DIYs that will help you locate the two in the back. Once you do that, the headlights simply pull out.

I had some trouble getting the driver's side light out so I switched to the passenger to give that a shot. It was very easy on that side. The driver's side was stuck. There was nothing else holding it in, it was just stuck. I kept working it and trying to pull it out and eventually it worked. I think theculprit was some sort of caulk bead or something on the bottom b/c that's the only reason I could see once it came out.

Anyway, it's very easy to do. There's no need to remove or loosen anything else but those torx screws. GL.
