A4 Quattro cold hard start
About 6 months ago my A4 began to be hard to start when cold. It cranks for about 5 seconds then starts. When the engine is warm, it starts fine. I read somewhere that the problem could be a pressure leak in a "fuel cold start valve" or a pressure leak somewhere.
Does anyone have any advice I can take to my Audi dealership. They have said that there is no problem or that they can not find the problem.

Had same problem as well, tried scanning for codes = no codes, tried taking to audi dealer = no issues.
Not sure if this might work for you but it did for me, I changed my MAF and no issues since.

Hi Prokon, were you able to resolve your problem? Mine is 99 A6 2.8, same problem. I believe the problem relating the ECT has different sympton. The ECT is hard to start when warm instead of cold. I changed mine anyways, but there is no improvement. Would appreciate if you can feed me your findings.
