My wife and I just purchased an '02 a4 from a local audi dealer. This is the first audi we have ever owned. We looked at many new amercan cars but found nothing that seemed to compare to the Audi. The car has the 1.8t and the quatro drive system. What I was wondering is what kind of mileage should we expect from this car, what options do we have as far a engine mods (would like to get her up around the 200 hp mark!), and will these mods effect my warranty. Any help will be appreciated greatly.

You can chip the car, which will take you to the HP level you want. Yes it has the potential to void your warranty. Any mod you do to your car does. If the dealer finds it, they typically will void all engine warranty claims. Some dealers are mod friendly and won't, it just depends.

 

congrats on the 02, i have a 2002 audi 1.8T quattro and i get like 17 on surface and like 27-30 on highway but i have a heavy foot, reaching 200Hp the the crank is an easy task just get a performace chips like REVO, APR, GIAC and so forth but they will void your warrenty unless, but most chip companys thought of that and have a reflash ability that lets you hide your chip mod

What exactly do mean by reflash? One of the reasons I purchased this car is because of the warranty. The last thing I want t do is void it. But at the same time I still want to make the car perform. Also, will it affect the mileage to chip it?

look at the SPS1, you have to buy the program first, i think GIAC and APR do the same thing
